Holly Johnson of Frankie Goes to Hollywood comes to Italy for a one-off date at TAM!
After her acclaimed 2023 shows, Holly Johnson will return to the stage with a new production featuring Frankie Goes to Hollywood's most iconic songs, including "Relax," "Two Tribes," and the celebrated "The Power of Love." The tour promises to be an unmissable event for all fans of the band and '80s music.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood made music history in 1983 with the single "Relax," one of the most talked-about and successful songs of the decade, selling over 2 million copies in the UK alone and staying on the charts for an impressive 37 weeks. Despite the BBC banning the song for its sexually explicit content, "Relax" became a symbol of '80s pop music, along with second single "Two Tribes," which cemented the band's position at the top of the charts.
The group's 1984 debut album "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" was a worldwide success, with "The Power of Love" becoming one of the most beloved ballads and the album going platinum. Holly Johnson went on to have a successful solo career, also celebrating the 35th anniversary of her album Blast, which spawned hits like "Love Train" and "Americanos."

Teatro degli Arcimboldi di Milano
The Teatro degli Arcimboldi is a theatre and opera house in Milan which was built over a twenty-seven month period in anticipation of the closure and subsequent nearly three-year long renovation of Milan's La Scala opera house in December 2001. It is located 4.5 miles from the city centre in an abandoned Pirelli tire factory, in an area known as Bicocca.[1]
Designed by Vittorio Gregotti working with architects Mario Botta and Elisabetta Fabbri, the fan-shaped 2,375 seat auditorium, created on two levels, was planned to allow for the continuation of La Scala's 2001/2002 opera season and it was inaugurated with a performance of Verdi's La traviata on 19 January 2002.
An unfortunate accident closed the theatre for seventeen days in February 2001, but it reopened and became the La Scala company's venue until the renovated opera house reopened on its traditional day, 7 December, in 2004.
Performances of many different types of music are still given at the Arcimboldi.
